Yes it really is that time of year again…SHOW TIME! It seems to come round so fast, was it really a year and a half ago since we were at the King’s Hall performing The lion the witch and the wardrobe! Last term was very busy entering students for their exams in each dance discipline, as well as putting together and performing the Christmas Cabaret.
How to beat the last show! It was a triumph in every way and it is always hard when we look to begin another show! Lynne and I had originally decided upon ‘The Secret Garden’, we then felt more inspired to tell the stories of ‘The Faraway Tree’, but with last term being so stressful and having had a very busy Christmas holiday we have now settled on recreating our 2012 version of ‘The Wizard of Oz’!
‘We’re off to see…’ The most magical adventure of them all, brought to you by WTA Dance Academy.
Follow the yellow brick road over the rainbow and into Ilkley’s Kings Hall Theatre. WTA’s production of ‘The Wizard of Oz is an enchanting adaptation of the all time classic, telling the whole story through the medium of dance. Click your heels together and join Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Dorothy and her little dog Toto, as they journey through the magical land of Oz to meet the Wizard and obtain their heart’s desires. Watch out for the Wicked Witch of the West and her winged monkeys as you rediscover the real story of Oz in this fantastic performance for all the family to enjoy.
