We are so excited to announce that yet another one of our boys has had a successful audition.  Adam Williams aged 13, auditioned for Phoneix Youth Academy on the 10thJune and has just heard that he has been offered a place.  Adam first joined WTA at the age of 6 when we started our all boys class ‘Boys Zone’, his stage debut was in the Wizard of Oz and since then he has joined, ballet, tap, modern, jazz and is our only male ballet associate.  Adam is such a talented, dedicated student, who over the years has really grown in confidence, strength and performance and we have no doubt that he will continue to grow and mature as a dancer with Phoenix.

Phoenix Youth Academy is based in Leeds and is run by ex-dancers of Phoenix Dance Company.  It offers a high-quality training programme for talented young dancers interested in pursuing dance as a career. One of our former students Tilly Woodward was a Phoenix Youth student for 4 years, as well as continuing her dancing with WTA, she started her full-time training at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance last September and is doing incredibly well.  Academy students meet twice per week, developing their contemporary dance technique through working with recognised choreographers and Phoenix Dance Theatre’s company dancers. They also perform regularly at events across the UK.  We are absolutely delighted for Adam and can’t wait to share with him in his success as his journey with Phoenix begins. We are two very proud teachers. ?
